Reporting Copyright Infringement
Ohio Sales Tax Calculator respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to notices of alleged copyright infringement committed on our website that are reported to our designated Copyright Agent.
To file a valid copyright infringement claim, please provide our Copyright Agent with a written notice containing the following statutory information:
1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (for multiple works, a representative list).
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with details sufficient to allow us to locate it (including the exact URLs).
4. Your contact information, including your physical address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
DMCA Counter-Notification Procedures
If you receive a notice that material you contributed has been removed due to a copyright infringement claim, you have the right to submit a written counter-notification to our Copyright Agent.
Your counter-notification must be in writing and include the following elements:
1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location where the material appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We take copyright infringement seriously. In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users, contributors, or account holders who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the site or terminate the access of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
